Our Shipping Strategy and Customer Support
After completing our first month of full-scale operations at Sake Selector, we’ve gained valuable insights and have now solidified our delivery workflow. We’re grateful for the support and patience from our customers during this initial phase. While there were challenges, we’ve taken key learnings and made improvements to provide a smoother experience moving forward.
We aim to process and prepare your order for shipping within 1–2 business days after it is placed. Once dispatched, delivery times will vary depending on the courier used and your location (detailed below).
Our Updated Shipping Strategy
All orders are shipped from our Sydney warehouse, located in Camperdown NSW 2050. To ensure prompt and reliable delivery across Australia, we now use a combination of three shipping carriers depending on order size and destination:
- Anonymous Wine Freight – Our primary shipping partner for most orders, especially those with multiple bottles. They offer fast and reliable service, particularly in urban areas.
- Sendle – Used for single-bottle orders and smaller parcels. While cost-effective, we’re continuing to monitor and refine how it’s used due to some variability in delivery times and tracking updates.
- Australia Post – Reserved for regional and remote areas plus PO Box addresses, where broader coverage is essential. They provide dependable nationwide service, especially in areas where other couriers may have limitations.
This combination allows us to match the best carrier to each order’s needs for speed, cost, and coverage.
Below are the estimated delivery times for each carrier after your order has been dispatched.
Anonymous Wine Freight
Estimated Delivery Times (after dispatch from Sydney):
- Sydney and surrounding suburbs: 1–2 business days
- Melbourne and surrounding suburbs: 1–2 business days
- Brisbane and surrounding suburbs: 2–3 business days
- Gold Coast: 2–3 business days
Sendle
Estimated Delivery Times (after dispatch from Sydney):
- Sydney and surrounding suburbs: 1–2 business days
- Melbourne and surrounding suburbs: 2–4 business days
- Brisbane and surrounding suburbs: 2–4 business days
- Gold Coast: 2–5 business days
Australia Post
Estimated Delivery Times (after dispatch from Sydney):
- Sydney and surrounding suburbs: 1–2 business days
- Melbourne and surrounding suburbs: 2–3 business days
- Brisbane and surrounding suburbs: 2–3 business days
- Gold Coast: 2–3 business days
- Regional and remote areas: 4–5 business days (depending on location)
